About the project

At Audi Field in Washington, D.C., the home of D.C. United, a SoccerGround Advanced mini pitch has been installed and now is used indoors as part of the club’s player training infrastructure.

Compact Yet Impactful Design

The pitch measures approximately 50 × 30 ft and features 6 × 4 ft goals, perimeter netting and rebound board system. Though small in size, its durable design enables intense technical drills and focused training sessions, a perfect complement to the main stadium field.

A Legacy from Fan Activation to Dedicated Use

Originally installed for fan activation at Audi Field, the mini pitch was brought indoors around early 2020 and now serves as a professional-level training ground for players, a shift that underscores its flexibility and quality in sports environments.

Built with SoccerGround’s advanced technology, this installation delivers a consistent surface in all seasons. With ball-containment netting and a structured rebound system, the pitch supports refined ball control work while minimizing interruptions.
